Will Apple join the Foldable trend?

Early this year, there are circulating rumors that Apple might be working on a foldable iPhone. Coming from the famous Apple Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, he said that years from now, Apple would be releasing foldable iPhones with an 8-inch QHD+ flexible OLED display.  SDC will reportedly provide the display, while Samsung Foundry will attend as the sole device driver interface foundry provider.

There are already generated prototypes for foldable screens as initial testing, but so far, there aren’t approved plans to launch the actual project. Like those from Samsung, the foldable Apple screens in testing have a primarily seamless transition, with the electronics placed behind the invisible hinge and its actual display.

According to Apple, they are not planning for any significant changes this year due to recent augmentations created just last year, such as 5G and other new designs. However, Apple engineers consider making another “S” version of iPhones; its classification is typically given to new iPhones with minor upgrades.
