Spotlight on Calvin Klein

A brand known by everyone, from American fashion to sportswear. Calvin Klein continues to offer sophisticated undergarments, footwear, furnishings, handbags, and apparels. Pioneered by the remarkable American Fashion designer, Calvin Klein started as an intern in a suit manufacturer. In 1968, he partnered with Schwartz, initially recognized for their suits and coats; later on, his sportswear became in demand, leading to three Coty Awards leading the business to expand further. From coats and suits, sportswear to menswear, jeans, cosmetics, fragrances, and home collection. Calvin Klein also created remarkable and some controversial ads partnering with several iconic pop cultures. 

The company faced major financial difficulty in the ‘90s and was saved by a financial bailout from friend David Geffen. By 2003 Klein and Schwartz sold CK company to Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation for $430 million due to licensing agreements and several issues on top of it. As of 2016, the appointed chief creative officer for Calvin Klein was Raf Simons, serving as the unified head of its divisions.

This year Calvin Klein brings in a star-studded campaign, Shot by renowned photographer Mario Sorrenti, video by Bardia Zeinali. Fronted by recognizable names and faces, Justin Bieber, Hunter Schafer, Kendall Jenner, Maluma, Lil Nas X, and Lay Zhang.
