Mary-Kate Olsen NYC Townhouse $16M

The American fashion designer, former actress and producer Mary-Kate Olsen, and her husband, a French banker based in the United States, Olivier Sarkozy, who previously owned two townhouses in Manhattan’s East Village is currently on the market.

One is located at 125 E. 10th St. for $8.3 million–listed at Sotheby’s International Realty, and the other one is at 123 E. 10th St. for $7.69 million–under Warburg Realty.

The 125 E. 10th St. is a five-storey property that features classic moldings and carved fireplaces, five bedrooms with its distinctive 19th-century-inspired mantels, and fireplaces.

The 4,200-square-foot property, 123 E. 10th St. home features the same elements from the previous townhouse, highlighting its full-floor master suite. The prevailing owners are artist Aaron Young and his wife, French-born CEO of luxury retailer the Webster, Laure Heriard Dubreuil.

Olsen and Sarkozy didn’t actually live in their classic manhattan townhouses; instead, they rented on the next door. Right now, they are living in a luxurious mansion that much resembles its indoors to Versailles, with a private garden, rooftop pool, studios and elevators. The townhouses can be bought separately–with accurate prices mentioned above or joint at $15.99 million–which is the smartest move a man can make when considering an excellent place to invest in Manhattan.  According to the Warburg listing, the townhouses share “one of the largest private gardens in Manhattan.”
