Known for her sustainable fashion taste, Stella McCartney just landed a collaboration with Yoshitomo Nara–a Japanese contemporary artist known for his children and animals’ paintings that appear simultaneously sweet and sinister. This project will be released on her latest Spring/Summer 2021 collection with the title “Shared” that encapsulates unisex urban styles wearables.
Taking inspiration from Takashi Murakami, as it bridges art and fashion, subculture and street culture. With slogans on McCartney’s signature tailoring, such as “We are Punks,” “Change the History”, and “Don’t Waste Another Day.” together with Nara’s iconic characters. Featuring McCartney’s relaxed silhouettes in the form of double-breasted blazers paired with utilitarian cargo pants. Together with reworked classic British trench coats emphasizing its stripe details and the Old Bond Street logo in a clean white hue.
Cardigans, crewneck, hoodies, sweatpants, vegan leather pants and shorts, all will feature OBS logo patches as well. We’ve compiled several photos of the campaign just for you! Yoshitomo Nara x Stella McCartney’s SS21 “Shared” capsule ranges from $75 to USD 1,795 and is now available to shop online.
